Num3:1   This is the account of the family of Aaron and Moses at the time the Lord talked with Moses on Mount Sinai.

耶和华在西乃山晓谕摩西的日子，亚伦和摩西的后代如下，

Num3:2   The names of the sons of Aaron were Nadab the firstborn and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

亚伦的儿子，长子名叫拿答，还有亚比户，以利亚撒，以他玛。

Num3:3   Those were the names of Aaron's sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.

这是亚伦儿子的名字，都是受膏的祭司，是摩西叫他们承接圣职供祭司职分的。

Num3:4   Nadab and Abihu, however, fell dead before the Lord when they made an offering with unauthorized fire before him in the Desert of Sinai. They had no sons; so only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.

拿答，亚比户在西乃的旷野向耶和华献凡火的时候就死在耶和华面前了。他们也没有儿子。以利亚撒，以他玛在他们的父亲亚伦面前供祭司的职分。

Num3:5   The Lord said to Moses,

耶和华晓谕摩西说，

Num3:6   'Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.

你使利未支派近前来，站在祭司亚伦面前好服事他，

Num3:7   They are to perform duties for him and for the whole community at the Tent of Meeting by doing the work of the tabernacle.

替他和会众在会幕前守所吩咐的，办理帐幕的事。

Num3:8   They are to take care of all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, fulfilling the obligations of the Israelites by doing the work of the tabernacle.

又要看守会幕的器具，并守所吩咐以色列人的，办理帐幕的事。

Num3:9   Give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to him.

你要将利未人给亚伦和他的儿子，因为他们是从以色列人中选出来给他的。

Num3:10 Appoint Aaron and his sons to serve as priests; anyone else who approaches the sanctuary must be put to death.'

你要嘱咐亚伦和他的儿子谨守自己祭司的职任。近前来的外人必被治死。

Num3:11 The Lord also said to Moses,

耶和华晓谕摩西说，

Num3:12 'I have taken the Levites from among the Israelites in place of the first male offspring of every Israelite woman. The Levites are mine,

我从以色列人中拣选了利未人，代替以色列人一切头生的。利未人要归我。

Num3:13 for all the firstborn are mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel, whether man or animal. They are to be mine. I am the Lord .'

因为凡头生的是我的。我在埃及地击杀一切头生的那日就把以色列中一切头生的，连人带牲畜都分别为圣归我。他们定要属我。我是耶和华。
