Num4:1   The Lord said to Moses and Aaron:

耶和华晓谕摩西，亚伦说，

Num4:2   'Take a census of the Kohathite branch of the Levites by their clans and families.

你从利未人中，将哥辖子孙的总数，照他们的家室，宗族，

Num4:3   Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work in the Tent of Meeting.

从三十岁直到五十岁，凡前来任职，在会幕里办事的，全都计算。

Num4:4   'This is the work of the Kohathites in the Tent of Meeting: the care of the most holy things.

哥辖子孙在会幕搬运至圣之物，所办的事乃是这样，

Num4:5   When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and cover the ark of the Testimony with it.

起营的时候，亚伦和他儿子要进去摘下遮掩柜的幔子，用以蒙盖法柜，

Num4:6   Then they are to cover this with hides of sea cows, spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles in place.

又用海狗皮盖在上头，再蒙上纯蓝色的毯子，把杠穿上。

Num4:7   'Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and put on it the plates, dishes and bowls, and the jars for drink offerings; the bread that is continually there is to remain on it.

又用蓝色毯子铺在陈设饼的桌子上，将盘子，调羹，奠酒的爵，和杯摆在上头。桌子上也必有常设的饼。

Num4:8   Over these they are to spread a scarlet cloth, cover that with hides of sea cows and put its poles in place.

在其上又要蒙朱红色的毯子，再蒙上海狗皮，把杠穿上。

Num4:9   'They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand that is for light, together with its lamps, its wick trimmers and trays, and all its jars for the oil used to supply it.

要拿蓝色毯子，把灯台和灯台上所用的灯盏，剪子，蜡花盘，并一切盛油的器皿，全都遮盖。

Num4:10 Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories in a covering of hides of sea cows and put it on a carrying frame.

又要把灯台和灯台的一切器具包在海狗皮里，放在抬架上。

Num4:11 'Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth and cover that with hides of sea cows and put its poles in place.

在金坛上要铺蓝色毯子，蒙上海狗皮，把杠穿上。

Num4:12 'They are to take all the articles used for ministering in the sanctuary, wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with hides of sea cows and put them on a carrying frame.

又要把圣所用的一切器具包在蓝色毯子里，用海狗皮蒙上，放在抬架上。

Num4:13 'They are to remove the ashes from the bronze altar and spread a purple cloth over it.

要收去坛上的灰，把紫色毯子铺在坛上。

Num4:14 Then they are to place on it all the utensils used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans, meat forks, shovels and sprinkling bowls. Over it they are to spread a covering of hides of sea cows and put its poles in place.

又要把所用的一切器具，就是火鼎，肉锸子，铲子，盘子，一切属坛的器具都摆在坛上，又蒙上海狗皮，把杠穿上。

Num4:15 'After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites are to come to do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy things or they will die. The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the Tent of Meeting.

将要起营的时候，亚伦和他儿子把圣所和圣所的一切器具遮盖完了，哥辖的子孙就要来抬，只是不可摸圣物，免得他们死亡。会幕里这些物件是哥辖子孙所当抬的

Num4:16 'Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, is to have charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the regular grain offering and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles.'

祭司亚伦的儿子以利亚撒所要看守的是点灯的油与香料，并当献的素祭和膏油，也要看守全帐幕与其中所有的，并圣所和圣所的器具。

Num4:17 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,

耶和华晓谕摩西，亚伦说，

Num4:18 'See that the Kohathite tribal clans are not cut off from the Levites.

你们不可将哥辖人的支派从利未人中剪除。

Num4:19 So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry.

他们挨近至圣物的时候，亚伦和他儿子要进去派他们各人所当办的，所当抬的。这样待他们，好使他们活着，不至死亡。

Num4:20 But the Kohathites must not go in to look at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die.'

只是他们连片时不可进去观看圣所，免得他们死亡。
